DREAM11 IPL 2020, MATCH 10: RCB VS MI – PREVIEW

What a way to start your week!

It’s Virat Kohli versus Rohit Sharma. It’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) versus Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 10th match of the Dream11 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Monday.

MI come into this contest on the back of a comfortable win against Kolkata Knight Riders. While skipper Rohit Sharma led from the front, hitting a brisk 80, Suryakumar Yadav scored an attractive 47. The MI pace battery of Jasprit Bumrah, James Pattinson and Trent Boult looked well-oiled too.

RCB had won their opening game of the season against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), but in their second match, they were done in by a stunning KL Rahul hundred. The success of Kings XI Punjab’s spin-bowling duo of Ravi Bishnoi and Murugan Ashwin in addition to some fine pace-bowling display from Mohammad Shami and Sheldon Cottrell made matters worse for RCB.

Virat vs Rohit and Chahar vs Chahal

This will be our first chance to witness two of the finest modern-day batsmen – Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli – going up against each other in this year’s IPL. The two are among the top three run-getters of the tournament and will be looking to add a few more runs to their account.

If the Virat vs Rohit battle makes for a fascinating contest, then the Chahal vs Chahar contest will also be something to keenly watch. While Yuzvendra Chahal has given enough proof about his guile, Rahul Chahar, in his young IPL career, has shown enough promise too. The two leg-spinners may be the deciding factor in how the two teams fare.

Both the teams, who are involved in this contest, have plenty to offer in terms of quality and talent and here’s our list of five players to watch out for.

Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma, who now has 200 IPL sixes against his name, looked in a fine touch against KKR, and he will be looking forward to continuing his form as MI look to secure their second win in a row. The stylish right-hander hit some of his trademark pull shots during MI’s second game of IPL 2020, and MI and their fans won’t mind if Rohit cuts loose against RCB.

Virat Kohli

The RCB skipper has not scored many runs in the first two games of IPL 2020, and he will be hungry to score big against MI as RCB seek to secure their second win of the season. Knowing how much pride he takes in his and his side’s performance, it won’t be too surprising if King Kohli comes out all guns blazing against MI.

Jasprit Bumrah

Although Pat Cummins hit him for a few sixes in his last over in MI’s last game, Jasprit Bumrah managed to scalp two big wickets – Andre Russell and Eoin Morgan – to guide MI home against KKR. The right-arm pacer will once again be the key for his side and will be someone that MI will bank on against the likes of Virat, ABD and Co.

AB de Villiers

A fifty in the first game and 28 in the second. AB de Villiers has not seemed rusty and RCB will want their premier batsman, alongside Virat, to go big against the defending champions in Dubai on Monday. There are not many who possess the ability, audacity, and skills and if he comes good against MI, we have an absolute feast on our hands.

Yuzvendra Chahal

While he had just one wicket to show for against KXIP, Yuzvendra Chahal was excellent with the ball in hand against Rahul and Co. RCB will need their premier bowler to come good once again as they face MI and seek a return to winning ways in IPL 2020.

Wild Card

Rahul Chahar

RCB, in their last game against KXIP, had their share of troubles against spin-bowling, and MI will be looking to target RCB using the same ploy. However, for that to happen, Rahul Chahar will need to fire. If the leg-spinner manages to come trumps against the likes of Virat and ABD, MI will be in with a chance to continue their winning run.
